REC Newsletter Q1 2021

by Dale Galiano and Chad Miller

How are you doing all you wonderful America First Patriots???!!!!

Here’s a bit of an update from the first quarter of 2021 in the St. Lucie County REC. Yes, the 2020 election didn’t turn out as it should have but we know that this is just a moment in time. We must look forward with faith and strength, and we will prevail in 2022.

The new year brought us a new REC Board and a vision for not only the next 4 years but for the New Republican Party. The America First Party. We’re shaking things up to make sure we have a solid and strong local government while working towards State and Federal victories. We also have new committees to get us organized, inspired, and ready for the 2022 election campaign. Our first REC meeting brought us 13 new REC members too!

A New Board, New Location, and New Sheriff in Town?

February brought a new meeting place courtesy of Truth Church 2.1 on US1. We offer a BIG thanks to Pastor JT Baumgardner for being so accommodating. They have an excellent room and set up for all of our needs and growth. We had another 12 Patriots sworn in as members of the REC right before hearing from our guest speaker, National Committeeman Peter Feaman.  Mr. Feaman gave us updates about the last election and answered questions about what’s to come in the future. The hot topic was election integrity and what our party and leaders are doing to secure our elections. We also received news from Assistant Police Chief Richard Del Toro announcing his 2024 run for Sheriff of St. Lucie County!

March Growth and the Lincoln Day Dinner

The March REC meeting gave us more insight on our committees. The Campaign committee is in full swing rolling out a plan to contact and welcome all new residents to our county and our party. Using public Property Appraiser data, we can now offer a warm welcome to new residents. This is no small undertaking as we need as many volunteers as possible to help with our committees! We also heard from the communications committee regarding the new updates and membership section on the GOP website. If you haven’t seen the St. Lucie GOP website, check it out!

March’s meeting featured a seriously wonderful speaker from Flagler County REC, the first African American Chairwomen of a REC in Florida, Pastor Jearlyn Dennie.  Being the former Chair of her REC, she shared tried and true practices on how to get ahead and get things done within our precincts and county. We were also excited to swear in 12 more Patriot REC members.

At the end of March, we held our 1st major fundraiser, the 2021 Lincoln Day Dinner. Our specials guests were Congressman Byron Donalds and Congressman Brian Mast, both of which held a question and answer session about current news and legislation. We had a huge turnout of patriots in support of our local GOP, and because of our attendees and sponsors, met our target fundraising goal! From all of us at the REC, we’d like to say THANK YOU to all who sponsored, volunteered, and attended!

The Future of Our Country and Way of Life

Let’s be serious now for a bit. 2022 is right around the corner and we must mobilize now to make sure we win and win BIG! Ron DeSantis is up for reelection and we need all hands on deck to fight the misinformation, big tech and media censorship, and the dirty tricks the Democrats will use to win. So folks, it’s time to get to work and rally together to get things done. Everything starts with a solid local base and your participation is needed to make sure we excel in all things Republican.  Our forward strides must be maintained and the key to our success is growth and participation.

Committee’s are being fine tuned and very soon we will need all the expertise that we know is out there. Nothing is off the table for participation. Everyone has a talent, trade, or just something they can contribute to the program. From talking on the phone, walking the precincts, helping with print graphics, or maybe being part of the new Welcome to St. Lucie County program for new homeowners. There is office time, taking notes at local meetings, or just being the eyes and ears in our community to make sure we don’t miss an opportunity to promote America First and grow our party.
